Cupcake Wars, Top Chef

So anybody that knows me knows how much I love cooking and top chef is one of the shows that has helped my love for cooking grow. I've been watching it now for years. And it for sure inspires me to be more opened minded when it comes to cooking. And it's just a really fun show to watch. It's crazy and amazing to see the competitions that they have on the show.

And how the contestants do with the challenges. And its really amazing to see just how much of an art cooking really is. And the things that you can do with food. And I also love that every season the show is in a different city. Another thing that I love about the show is that they also have a master's version of the show and that's where professional well known chefs compete on the show to help raise money for their favorite charities. where on the regular version they only compete for money and prizes for themselves.
So in general top chef is a great show that I love to watch and will continue to watch it.

Now cupcake wars is also artistic in its own way. they are also competing to be more known and to have their cupcakes and cupcake display shown at some big event at the end of the show. Not a money prize like top chef but the winner gets their bakery more known thus getting more customers. And thus making more money that way. And there is three different rounds and in the first round they have to make cupcakes.
And use crazy ingredients about whatever the event is about. That the winner will show at. at the end of the show. And its normally savory foods that you normally would NEVER use in cupcakes. But that's the point of the first round.
It's meant to be a real challenge and in the second round they get to make whatever kind of cupcakes they want to make. And in the last round the last two bakers still get to make whatever kind of cupcakes that they want to. But they just have to make the changes that the judges told them to in the second round. And they also have a display made for the showing just in case they win. That will be the display shown at the event at the end of the show.
The events are normally some kind of celebrity event or some famous event. So for the baker that wins its a big deal for them and their business. So these two shows are the same in so many ways but so different in many ways also. But they both deal with food at the end of the day. And that's the one factor that I love about both of them. And again to see what they both can do with food, rather it be with pastries or savory food. They are both great shows but I do have to say that top chef is far better then cupcake wars to me. But that's just my personal opinion!
